Apparently James' attempts to start a conversation around the problems associated with the new Christian reality show “Making the Christian Band” have resulted in a cease and desist from the show's creator Brian Mayes. Guess Brian hasn't read I Corithians 6:1. All James was trying to do was to engage in honest conversation about his theological problems with the show's premise. Sorry James, that's not the way we do things here in the US, at least not in evangelical circles. We should never question anything another Christian is doing in the name of God. This is part of the reason why the whole Christian sub-culture infuriates me. Just because something is done with the word God or Jesus in it doesn't make it artistic or creative or even theologically sound. Read more

I got to looking at the
Wayback Machine and realized it has been forever since this site had a facelift. So I decided to make some changes today and got most of it knocked out. The main changes are a more consistent navigation and look. I also got rid of almost all the table layout stuff and used CSS, except for some of the .NET web control grid stuff and tabular data. I think it looks much more interesting or maybe just new, but I like the change. Let me know what you think or if you find stuff that is breaking. I realize some of the deeper parts of the site haven't been updated yet, especially the galleries.

Seems everybody is talking about Firefox these days. Interesting article this month in Wired as well. I've been using it part-time for the last couple months and today I made it my default browser on my laptop. We'll see how it goes. I do like the extensions model, there are some cool mods you can get.

Well, I think I'm willing to say now that this season of 24 so far is the best since the first season. I was just about ready to quit watching this year, as the last couple seasons have been plagued by weak plotline and even weaker characters. If they can keep up the momentum of the first few hours of this season, I think they are back on track. The characters are more interesting, the acting is better and the plot seems pretty interesting, although still convoluted. It's interesting watching how the story keeps unfolding. I think the first 12 minutes of this past Monday night episode is some of the best action TV I've seen in awhile. Gripping.
