Good discussion here, the RIAA has gotten so far away from the original intent of copyright law it's not even funny. Read the Talkback area to the ridiculous response from RIAA president Sherman, people are pretty fed up with it. The music industry is going bye bye unless some things change.

Well, between a Democratic congress that might actually curtail Bush a bit and Rumsfield resigning, Christmas came early this year. Hopefully this sparks some real change, although I'm not entirely convinced it will. On the plus side, every time I see Barack Obama interviewed it gives me hope that there are still some smart politicians out there that get it.
